At AmbuServe, being a dispatcher is more than just answering a phone or entering a call into the computer-aided dispatch system. As the first line of communication between AmbuServe and our customers, our dispatchers must be able to provide exceptional customer service with the ability to multi-task.
Requirements:
- Valid California State EMT-Basic certification or NAEMD ETC certification
- American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Provider CPR/AED Certification Card (or printout)
- Valid California Drivers’ license or DMV Identification Card
- High School Diploma, GED, or California Certificate of Proficiency
- Demonstrate strong customer service and communication skills
- Knowledge of Medical Terminology
- Proficient computer skills
- Six months of field experience as an EMT-Basic preferred
- Dispatch experience preferred
